The Brown Cow was situated at 1370 Thornton Road. This pub closed in 2010 and has now been converted into apartments.
This was my local from 1974 for the next 10 years or so. Landlord in 1974 was Mick Brennan, then David Hardiman took over. Tetley pub at this time with loyal customers and thriving darts and football teams.
