The Crown was situated at 11 Crown Square. This grade-II listed pub is now in residential use.

Listed building details:
Inn, now house. Late C18-early C19 with later alteration. Orange-red brick on stone plinth; rendered brick to rear; sandstone dressings; pantile roof. Central stairhall plan, 1½ rooms deep, with rear service outshut. 2-storey, symmetrical 3-window front. Raised quoins. Centre C20 half-glazed and panelled door under rectangular fanlight, flanked by 6-pane sashes. 16-pane sashes to first floor. All windows brave stone sills. All openings have heavy, plain lintels. Coped gable to right with shaped kneeler. End stacks.
