The Royal Victoria was situated on the corner of Charles Street and Pearson Street, North Ormesby. This pub was built in 1867 and demolished in 1970.

My Grandparents and later Uncle David were tenants of the Royal Victoria, Archibald, Annie and David Smith. As a small child I also lived with my Mother at the pub, while my father was serving with the Royal Air Force from 1939-1947. I remember the wonderful clientele, they had hearts of gold and certainly celebrated D day. There was a real community feeling one big family. I have lived in Australia for the last 48 years, so I'm not sure when the Royal Victoria was demolished.
