The Black Bull was situated at 130 Huddersfield
Road. |
|
The Black Bull Inn was rebuilt towards the mid 19th century
and renamed to the Black Bull Hotel - I have no need to mention that it was
once a coaching inn. At one time other properties and land was attached to
it comprising the whole property into the Black Bull estate. In 1898 the
hotel did still have a coach-house attached to it , although it would have
been used for other purposes then; there was also a shed at the rear of the
pub that housed billiard tables and at the rear of the premises was once a
large bowling green along with a pavilion and a cottage. |
