The Masons Arms was situated on Westgate.  This grade-II listed pub closed in 1981 and is now in residential use. It was previously known as The Skinners Arms.

Formerly listed as Masons Arms Public House Westgate (South Side)) Early-mid C19. Two storeys in stone with stone slate roof. Five windows in stone architraves and two doorways with stone architrave, one to a passage.
