The Fox & Hounds closed in 1998 and has now been converted to private dwellings.
In 1980-81 when I was at RAF Topcliffe learning to fly, who should turn up but randy Andy....Prince of that name. Now we all used to drive from Leeming where we slept to the F and H because the bar never closed and the landlord's wife was fun....anyway HRH decided that he needed to pop down with his Special Branch minder.....he drank ginger ales, spoke to no-one, airheads from York and Thirsk began to pile in and we never got a pit after 10:30 again.....whatever happens to him now he deserves it....
