Unicorn Inn

The Unicorn Inn was situated in the Market Place. This pub has now been demolished. A plaque on the site reads: 'Site of the old Unicorn Inn in the 17th and 18th centuries. After the battle of Marston Moor on July 2nd 1644, it was the H.Q. of Prince Rupert who rallied the defeated Royalist army here in Richmond'.

Now reopened.
