County Borough

The County Borough was situated on Bridgegate. This pub opened in 1859 and was closed in 2005 following a fire.

It soon reopened following a refurbishment, at which time it was renamed The County. Still currently trading.

Colin Crawford 1980s I stayed at the County Borough in early 80's. I was contracting at a wire mill in Rotherham or near Sheffield. The pub was down to earth, I remember band boxes. The then Landlord and landlady were in their 40's, he was 6ft and well made, the landlady had blond hair and busty. Two friendly people. I would love to know their names and what became of them.
