The Three Mariners was situated at 49
Quay Street. The building is grade-II* listed
and is believed to date back at least to the 16th century. A former Sea
Captain’s House, it was a pub before becoming a museum. The premises were
restored and converted to a family home c2000. With secret smuggling holes
and a Priest Hole, it has the reputation as one of the most haunted spots in
Scarborough. |
