The Half Moon Inn was situated on Bishopdyke Road. I live in Cawood and used to pass the inn as I commuted from home to Wakefield 1985-2007. The pub was certainly still going in the 80s and 90s. By that time it had become a pub to drive out to have a meal at and had become a Tetley's house I believe. It then had a brief career as an Indian restaurant before that venture failed around 2006 if memory serves. The building still exists - it is currently seemingly the offices of a reclaim yard. Victorian maps show that it once had an orchard attached.
