Quarry Tavern
The Quarry Tavern was situated on Saltaire Road at the end of Queen Street.
Like the pub, Queen Street no longer exists but it was present in 1869. The
street stood at 90 degrees to Saltaire Road and went more or less directly
south. The Tavern was only a very short distance to the east of what is now
the Salt Cellar. The post-war Wycliffe estate now stands on the site of the
pub and the street. |
