The Craven was situated at 3 Craven
Street. This Thwaites-owned grade-II listed pub, which opened in 1850, was
built as a Railway hotel, in an area that is now a Conservation area. It was
closed in March 2023 having been deemed unviable because of rising costs. An
application to convert it into six flats has been submitted to North
Yorkshire Council. |
