Goats Head

The Goats Head was situated at 44-46 Upper School Street. A grade-II listed building, this pub closed in 1794, having been built in 1710 by Edmund and Elizabeth Garforth. Now called Inglenook Cottage, it was replaced by a new pub of the same name built in the same year, on the village bypass road.
