The Royal Oak was situated at 13 Market Place.  This grade-II listed pub is now in retail use.
 

 
Listed building details:
Public House. C18. Brick, front rendered with rustication and panelling. Late C20 pantile roof. 3 storeys, 5 bays. Central entrance has wooden doorcase with reeded pilasters and triangular pediment. Carriageway to left. Windows with late glazing. A venetian window to the 1st floor of the east side of the 2 storey wing at rear.
