The Spinners Rest was situated on Knowlwood Road.

In the1960s my brother and I worked at Crosslets Shuttles just below The Spinners Rest. To supplement our income my brother worked for one of the rigg brothers at The Spinners Rest, he turned teak lamps on a laihe.
