The Wombwell Arms was situated on Well Lane.  This grade-II listed pub is now in residential use.

Listed building details:
Public house, now house. Early-mid C19. Rubble sandstone, concrete interlocking tiles. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central 6-panel door below fanlight with decorative glazing bars in 4 centred-arched opening with small wooden canopy. Sash windows with glazing bars, exposed sash boxes and projecting sills, below wedge lintels. Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping. Brick end stacks. Right return: dressed stone surround to blind oculus in gable.
