Certificate no. 5810 for 110 ordinary shares of 5/- each in this fabric printing company. The certificate was issued to Dr. Robert Henry Mathews on 1st June 1965. Blue and black certificate.

The company was formed in November 1899, the amalgamation of 46 firms of printers, which was 85% of the industry.The CPA could produce dress goods, furnishings, linings, flannelettes and mixed fabrics for the home market and overseas trade. It merged with English Sewing Cotton in 1968, becoming English Calico Ltd. This became Tootal Ltd in 1973 and is now part of Coats Viyella PLC.

Certificate size is 20 cm high x 25 cm wide. It will be double mounted in a mahogany frame, with gold inlay.
