Bearer share warrant certificate
dated 18th December 1969 for ten shares in this mutual fund. The
certificate has the printed signatures of Bernie Cornfeld,
President, together with that of the company secretary. Ornate
green border.
Founded in 1955 by financier Bernard Cornfeld, Investors
Overseas Services grew to over $2.5 billion under
management in a variety of mutual funds by 1970. Due to the
decline in value in a number of questionable investments, and
following charges of embezzlement filed against Cornfeld
successor Robert Vesco and other I.O.S managers, the company
went bankrupt in 1973.
