in this Cheshire-based brewery. Woolfs owned the South Cheshire Brewery in
Wistaston Road, Crewe. It was founded in 1877 and acquired by Ind Coope in
1923, by which time it owned 42 public houses.
Issued to Charles Henry Kynaston (The
Younger) of The Gables, Wem, Shroposhire. Actual handwritten signatures of
directors M E Woolf and Ernest C Bailey.
Vignette of eagle at
top of the certificate. Ornate orange border. Imprint of the official seal of
the company.
Certificate size is
27.5 cm high x 18.5 cm wide (11.5" x 8.5"). It will be mounted in a mahogany frame, with
gold inlay, size 31 cm high x 39 cm wide.
The certificate is shown unframed as all items
are mounted to order.
