this Boston-based bank. Original signatures of the vice
president and the company secretary. Issued to
Clinton Gilbert on 21st September 1921with the reverse side
showing the later transfer to Paul P Pullen of Jamesville,
Wisconsin.

seal. The company
was established in 1895 with the assistance of P J Kennedy. At
the time it was Boston's only Irish-owned bank. Joe Kennedy,
father of the future US President,
became president of the company in 1914.
Certificate size is 28
cm wide x 21 cm high (12" x 9"). It will be mounted in a
mahogany frame, with gold inlay, size 40 cm wide x 30 cm high.
The certificate is shown unframed
