   Certificate no. 632, dated 1st August 1939, for 44 preference shares of par value $100.00 each.

Issued to Frank A Quail, Trustee u.w. of Helen E Rockefeller, wife of Frank Rockefeller,(president of Buckeye from 1905 to 1908 and superceded by Samuel Prescott Bush, Gt Grandfather of George W Bush) )with the original (not printed) signatures of A H Thomas, President and the Secretary of the company. Ornate orange border.

Certificate size if 20 cm high x 29.5 cm wide (7.5" x 12"). It will be mounted in a mahogany frame, with gold inlay, size 31 cm high x 39 cm wide.

The certificate is shown unframed as all items are mounted upon order.

About the Company

Buckeye Steel was founded in 1894 as The Buckeye Malleable Iron and Coupler Company by Samuel Prescott Bush (1863 - 1948). Samuel was the Grandfather of President George Bush and Great Grandfather of the current President, George W Bush.

Frank Rockefeller took over as President in 1905 and in 1908 the company changed it's name to Buckeye Steel Castings Company. The company made a range of cast iron products until it diversified in the mid-1960's into plastics and electronics.  Taken over by Worthington Industries in 1980, it finally closed down in 2002.
