The Anchor Inn was situated on the Market Place. This pub closed in the early 2000s and was extensively renovated, as a pub/restaurant with upstairs accommodation and “Wellness Centre” this has now ceased operation, but has been purchased by Batemans Brewery who are currently advertising for a Licensee.
