The Alma was situated
at 37 Arbour Lane. This pub opened in 1861 and was known as The Admiral J

From August 1984 till August 1989 was a

built the restaurant when the bank interest went sky high closed the

My husband is Tristan Donald Hardy McHardy, son
of Lewis Graham Hardy McHardy, who were related to Captain John McHardy.
Captain John McHardy became a police constable in the area of Chelmsford,
after his time as an Admiral, and the Alma Inn was renamed after him. |
