The Peppercorn was situated on Luton Road. Originally The Harrow, the pub re-opened as a Beefeater in December 1980, being renamed The Peppercorn at the end of 2002 (incidentally a Mr Peppercorn lived in a nearby farm at one time). A year after this, the premises was renamed 'The Green' and in 2011 'Zara'. At it's time of closure it was Charlie's Bar & Restaurant. After closure, the buildings were demolished in February 2017.
