Libert Oury (1868 - 1939) was prominently connected with a great number of East African enterprises, including railways and harbours. He played a leading part in the development of the Port of Beira, Portuguese East Africa, in the construction of the Lower Zambesi Bridge, and in the laying down of thousands of miles of railway track in Africa.
